FAQ for portrait Sitters
01/10/08
Why do you charge more for an outdoor or location portrait ??The reason is that on most occasions, an outdoor shoot will take more time to setup, and it may last for 3 hours possibly. These type of sessions are more on the lines of a "walk in the woods" or a "day at the beach", along those lines.
What should we wear for our session??
The most important thing is that you feel relaxed and comfortable. Kids should always wear something bright. But please no white garments.
When shooting at your house, you have the opportunity to change clothing as much as you like.
For a location shoot I would suggest something appropriate for the location – coats & wellingtons for a walk in the woods, etc
How many pictures do you take??
A location shoot circa 100-300. A selection of 60-120 images will be made by me from which you can make a selection for an album or framed prints.
How do we get to see the photographs??
A week or two after the shoot, we will get together and you can select those which you like, from the 60-120 that I shot on the day.
Can we buy an album of images??
This is a very good way of keeping the day together and is probably the best way to view them in the end as it will remind you of the day in years to come.
Do you work nationwide??
Yes, I work anywhere in the mainland U.K. and I will also undertake overseas commissions. Cost of travel will have to be added to the commission(s).
What format of camera do you use??
All Nikon cameras and lenses, Working in digital gives me the opportunity to shoot in both black and white and colour or even toned prints, all from one image on the day.
